FormBack Privacy Policy

1. Core Principle: Zero Cloud Draft Storage

FormBack is built with a strict local-first architecture. Any text you type into web forms, inputs, textareas, or contenteditable elements is preserved exclusively in your local browser’s IndexedDB database on your personal computer.

Guarantee: FormBack never uploads, syncs, processes, inspects, or transmits your typed draft text to Cloudflare, our backend servers, or any third party.

2. Automatic Sensitive Field Exclusion

FormBack automatically filters out confidential and sensitive fields before any content can be observed or stored:

• Password fields (type="password") are completely ignored.
• Hidden fields (type="hidden") are excluded.
• Credit card numbers, expiration dates, and CVVs (autocomplete="cc-*", autocomplete="cc-csc") are strictly excluded.
• One-time passwords and verification codes (autocomplete="one-time-code") are excluded.
• Custom user-defined sensitive keywords (e.g. internal identifiers, SSNs) can be added in Settings.

3. Website Exclusions & Pause Controls

You can exclude any website by adding its domain to the Excluded Websites list in Settings. FormBack will completely disengage on those sites. Additionally, a one-click pause toggle is available in the extension popup at any time.

4. Payment Processing Data

When purchasing Pro or Lifetime plans, payments are processed by Cashfree Payments (and PayPal where enabled for international orders). FormBack never handles, sees, or stores your raw card numbers or bank credentials.

Cloudflare D1 stores only minimal transaction metadata: internal order ID, randomized license ID, plan tier, customer email for receipts, amount, and provider payment status.

5. Data Retention & User Control

Drafts are automatically purged based on your configured retention period (1, 7, 30, or 90 days). You can delete individual drafts, clear drafts by website, or click Clear All Saved Drafts in Settings to permanently purge all local records instantly.
